Bathhouse waterwear & early XP

Missing waterwear at the bathhouse? Follow the spring festival lead, see the recorded outfit change, and try the player-reported bench XP option while waiting.

Short answer

Waterwear is a spring-festival progression item, according to the accepted launch-week player answer. If your immediate goal is bathhouse experience, another player reports that you can sit on a bench before you have waterwear.

The message about missing waterwear blocks entering the pool. It does not establish that you need to buy an ordinary outfit from the clothing shop. The two useful next steps are to try the bench now, and follow the spring festival for the swimming outfit.

Try the bench while waiting for waterwear

  1. Use a bench rather than the pool edge.Enter the bathhouse and interact with a bench to sit down. Follow the on-screen interaction prompt for your controls.
  2. Check whether your experience increases. The launch reply recommends sitting for XP, and the original poster thanks them. The source does not state an XP amount, wait time or reset interval.

This workaround comes from rapidsfinesse’s reply in “Using the bathhouse”. We have not captured a before-and-after XP measurement, so this is a community tip rather than a tested daily farming schedule.

Follow the Seaflower Festival for the outfit

The accepted Steam answer places waterwear at a spring festival. The Cozy Gaming Club’s first-month video provides a more specific lead: its narration identifies the Seaflower Festival on the final day of spring, with Clover discussing the outfit beforehand.

  1. Check the in-game calendar and continue toward the spring festival. The reviewed sources do not supply a verified numbered date for every build.
  2. On festival day, speak with Dee at the ferry and follow the festival dialogue. At 32:24–32:29, the footage shows this conversation followed by arrival in a blue outfit.
  3. Check your clothing options after that sequence. Once waterwear is available, return to the bathhouse and follow its pool-entry prompt.

Evidence limit: the edit skips the exact unlock notification and wardrobe selection. It supports the festival timing and outfit change, but not a button-by-button waterwear unlock or proof that every earlier quest is required. If Dee is still asking for food, see the blueberry bun recipe and fireplace guide.

If the message still appears

  • Before the festival: use the bench tip for now. We have not verified an earlier shop that sells the required waterwear.
  • After the festival: check whether the outfit was added and whether the pool now offers a different prompt. The reviewed sources do not establish a universal fix if the flag is still missing.
  • Missed festival purchases: the player question about returning for missed items has no confirmed recovery answer. Do not assume those purchases and the waterwear unlock are the same event.
